Two Sisters From Boston

As the prudish sister of Kathryn Grayson, Martha (June Allyson) finds her morals are tested when she finds her sister Abigail (Grayson) is working at a burlesque in New York.

June Allyson's reactions are priceless as Martha in this film. Fainting spells, falling into the arms of a young man, to dancing in the burlesque are all reprocussions of having a sister performing in a venue that just isn't socially accepted. June finds love and becomes closer to her sister - soon becoming a driving force in helping her become a big opera star.

Lines to remember:

"Don't dispair, don't dispair. You know Greek and I know Greek. We'll see this thing through together."

"Mr. Patterson, Mr. Patterson! He's really very nice. He knows Greek."
