Categorically Speaking
Photoplay 1940

This is the first of hopefully many articles to come, really fun to read especially as this one was written by Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald themselves about their famous partner, in 1940.

Nelson Eddy Threatened by Mystery Man
December 6, 1933
Examiner

This is a fascinating article, Nelson wasn't quite a household name to say the least and this is probably an article to get some publicity for him, but of course there's always the possibility that there really was a threat. The article also gives Nelson's home address at the time, which is strange especially if someone was threatening him.

The Role I Liked Best

Saturday Evening Post
January 15, 1949

Nelson Eddy describes his favorite film role as Captain Warrington in Naughty Marietta. He also discusses what it is like to watch himself in the role. This comes from a series of articles written for the Saturday Evening post, where stars each described their favorite roles.

Nelson Eddy Describes Songs Soldiers Prefer
LA Times February 17, 1944

This article is timely, with the current war... this speaks for the soldiers and their love of a love song. If you would like to read a similar perspective on the men fighting "Over There," also read the article Alice Faye wrote.

Now It Can Be Told!—This Nelson Eddy, He’s Just a Cop
The Seattle Daily Times
January 20, 1937

Nelson Eddy jokes about his role in "Rose Marie" and his arrest of Mr. Stewart. A very silly, fun article!
