I listen to Nelson almost continually, and I can assure you and everyone else that the man singing these Kingdom Songs is NOT Nelson Eddy. The longer I listened, the less and less it sounded like him.

Besides, Nelson's voice in the late 50's was very different from his singing voice when he was younger. I will say that whoever did sing these songs had some similarities here and there with Nelson's younger voice. But there's something so distinctly NOT Nelson about all the songs - the singer doesn't have Nelson's consistency or robust-ness and even the vibrato of the voice on the sustained notes is different.

Now that I've put in my two cents, I shall retire into laughter at the entire idea.

I've been sent a recording from that person before and I honestly don't believe it's Nelson, but you notice that I never replied to this thread in the first place. Nelson liked to sing spiritual songs and such, because he had a great deal of respect for spirituality or the feeling that religion brings, but from my knowledge he didn't subscribe to any one thing.

I'd personally like to believe that Nelson was an atheist, but I think I've been proven wrong time and time again by viewing and listening to his actions and his words. But, if you want to believe it's so nobody can stop you and they shouldn't. Just be respectful of other people's opinions and we shall be a happy little community. Everyone here on these forums is here based on admiration for an artist who is given tribute on this website and their love of classic films. That is our foundation and as a wise man once said--a house divided against itself cannot stand. If you are so passionate about your beliefs that you are rude to others, you are breaking down our community.

it seems that these recordings then are extremley rare so i think its time to get these songs released on to a cd, let everyone listen to the voice of nelson eddy,if he was a witness it matters not does it,you have heard 1000's of nelson eddy songs but you have never heard these

i have met many who met him on his tours as he used to give talks in london and the usa,some even sang with him in the watchtower choir as nelson was in this choir,a lot said his voice was overpowering but they enjoyed singing with him, the records he made were made at a famous hollywood studio where he has access to the orchestra, here he got tenors,seprano and others to sing these songs,he himself made a coulpe of lp's,78's and 45's. i have all of them and will make these available soon, the time has come to let nelson sing his songs to you
