The Harvey Girls (1946)

A young woman decides that life in Ohio is slightly mundane and answer a post from a man who was looking for a bride--she corresponds with him and boards the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe where she meets a group of Harvey Girls and travels west to Sandrock star life anew.

Susan Bradley finds out when she is delievered in Sandrock that the man she corresponded with was not the man whose name was on the letters. Upon this realization, she confronts the man who happens to own the 'entertainment' establishment in town and then joins the Harvey Girls and the fued between them begins.
