Listen, Darling (1948)
A widow who fears not being able to support her children and wants to give them the kind of education she never had, decides to marry the banker in her small town who she doesn't love.
Mary Astor plays "Dottie," the widow in question--her eldest child Pinky (Judy Garland) sees that her mother is unhappy and conspires with her best friend Buzz (Freddie Bartholomew) to kidnap her mother and brother and later attempt to find a husband for her.
