Seeing Lorna

In June 2006, I made my second trip to Grand Rapids, Minnesota the birthplace of Judy Garland. This is the 31st year of the Judy Garland Festival. I was very prepaired for Meeting Lorna Luft for the second time. She was just so absolutely sweet to me and I found her to be very funny and warm. it was a blast seeing her again. She was very gracious in autographing lots of things for myself and my friends. She even let me take pictures of her in the lobby of the Sawmill Inn Hotel. I will never forget that as long as I live I also got to meet Judy's son Joe Luft this year, he was wonderful too and very cute! I might add.

The munchkin's are always a joy to meet, I have met them many times at the Syracuse Wizard Of Oz Festival, I find them to be very amazing people, and their memories to this day of Judy and that film are still as fresh as ever. I also got to me author Steve Sanders who wrote the book "Rainbows End: The Judy Garland Show" The Judy Garland Festival is so wonderful, I wish I Could go every year, but I cannot. I think all fans of all ages should attend, once you have visited you will want to go back again and again!
