Mickey Rooney & Judy Garland Collection
First, Busby Berkeley directs Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland in a rousing rendition of Rodgers and Hart's famed Broadway hit "Babes in Arms" (1939). They're children of vaudevillians who, after not being allowed to join in their parents' performance, start their own show. Songs include "Where or When," "Good Morning." Next, Mick and Judy's high school band is out to nab an award in Paul Whiteman's national radio contest, in "Strike Up the Band" (1940). Songs include "Our Love Affair," "Nell of New Rochelle." Rooney and Garland are together again in "Babes on Broadway" (1941), and this time they're out to put on a show on the Great White Way. Look for Donna Reed, Margaret O'Brien.
