Guidelines for submissions
Would you like to see your view of the "ReelJewels" of your choice posted to ReelJewels.com. This is most certainly possible. In order to make this site more interactive, I have decided to give each star a fan page, so that fans can talk about their stars, their films, their music or the dance as much as they would like to. But I do feel the need to set a few guidelines on what you can and cannot send in with more emphasis on the can.
You CAN send in fan art, as long as you are the one who did the art or if you are sending the picture in for someone else--you have their FULL permission to do so. It must be original artwork. With your artwork, you may send in a picture of what inspired you to do your art as well and write up a little blurb on your piece.
You CAN send in film reviews, as long as they are written soley by you and not copied from other sources. You MUST use your own thoughts and ideas. I do NOT want to find out I'm posting anything that is not original.
You CAN send in a story of how you became a fan of the "ReelJewels" of choice. I would absolutely adore posting anything of that nature up.
You CAN send in a review or summary of resources for finding out about a "ReelJewel" (i.e. books, magazine articles, filmed documentaries, interviews).
You CAN send in a summary of a group gathering related to any of the ReelJewels (i.e. The Judy Garland Festival or Rosemary Clooney birthplace gathering in Kentucky).
You CAN write reviews of performances, acting, dancing, or vocal, from films or a stage productions you might have seen of a "ReelJewel." Again, these must be original. Please do NOT take reviews from the New York Times or other sources.
You CAN write up an encounter you had with one of the "ReelJewels." Don't make up stories, kids, either! :) I've caught people doing that. Although, you CAN make up a dream senario of meeting your favorite "ReelJewel" and how you think you would respond. I would accept that most definitely.
You CAN express how much one of the "ReelJewels" has had an impact on your life (i.e. "Eleanor Powell encouraged my dreams of dancing"--"Judy Garland encouraged my dream of singing").
If you have any more ideas, please run them past me. I reserve the right to decide what will mesh well with this site. After all, it is soley a webmaster's duty to decide what is tasteful. I have run into problems with people plagiarising some of "ReelJewels.com," so this is why I am continually saying I would like original work. If every site had the same work posted, it would be pretty boring to surf the web! I do my best to bring you some original jewels (pun intended).
So, if you write up anything that cries out "you!" You have a 99.9% chance of having your submission posted. I'd love to have you be a part of the fan tributes! Now you may return to the fan tribute page that you came from and start filling out that form. I will contact you to tell you of the progress of your submission as soon as I can.
Thanks so much for wanting to be a part of this site!
