Kathryn Grayson is one of the greatest, yet unknown, musical stars of the 1940's and 1950's. She made two films with Mario Lanza, "That Midnight Kiss" and "The Toast of New Orleans." M-G-M tried to use the two as a "new" Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, but they never quite gained the same popularity as their predecessors. Kathryn is probably best known for her role as Lili Vanessi in the 1953 musical Kiss Me Kate, opposite Howard Keel.
