
Son of superstar and legend, Dougas Fairbanks, Sr., Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. started out in silent films still a teenager and then continued making films from the beginning of the sound age with a hiatus or two thrown in between. While coming into his prime as a film star, he enlisted in the Navy before the day that would live in infamy and was a key informant to President Roosevelt before and after the war.
He usually played the handsome leading man. He had the rare chance in The Prisoner of Zenda to play the villian and turned in a wonderful performance.
