Not really a musical star, but he did appear in many "Broadway Melody" films with Eleanor Powell and did sing a song in Broadway Melody of 1936, he was extremely popular during his day, probably equal to or just below that of Clark Gable. Taylor had a nice sweet voice, that always stole his leading lady's heart away.
