Bob Hope

Everyone should and usually does adore Bob Hope, one of the funniest men who has ever walked the face of the earth and part of the Road picture team with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour, Bob is truly one of the best. Some of the movies he is best known for are "The Road to Morocco," "The Paleface," and "Fancy Pants."

Bing Crosby

Mr. Bing Crosby is a force on his own, in films like White Christmas and Going My Way. He's also remembered for his partnership with Mr. Robert Hope -- they were the perfect team and two of my very favorite stars. Bing was probably my first true love.

The Andrews Sisters

Sisterly trio that really swung during the forties and helped the boys at the front remember what it was like to be back home. Bette Midler sang one of their songs, "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," and since their popularity has revitalized itself. The trio was also well known for the back-up they did on many of Bing Crosby's songs.

The Marx Brothers

Groucho, Harpo, Chico, and Zeppo. Famous for their antics in films like "Animal Crackers." Zeppo dropped out of the team as their brother Gummo did before him and the trio made classic films like "A Night At The Opera" with just as much charm. Groucho the quick wit, Chico the straight face, and Harpo being the silent one, made perfect chemistry for the team.

Greer Garson

Beautiful actress who was in films like "Goodbye Mr. Chips" and " Mrs. Miniver" (which she won an academy award for). Often teamed in films with Walter Pidgeon in films like "Madame Curie."

Walter Pidgeon

Dashing Canadian born actor who co-stared in many films with Greer Garson. Appeared in a few silent films and later was in many dramatic roles as well as musicals, although he had a good voice it was rarely heard except in musicals like "Listen, Darling" with Judy Garland and "Holiday In Mexico" with Jane Powell.

Gracie Allen

Sweet and terrible funny, this lady had some of the best lines ever filmed opposite her husband George Burns. Appeared in many films with George and the team was also popular on Radio and Television.

George Burns

Gracie Allen's straight man and adoring husband. Not only was he in film, but he also ended up doing a radio show with Gracie, along with a television show.

Katharine Hepburn

Voted as America's best female star along side co-star of many films, Spencer Tracy, I tend to agree that Hepburn was one of America's best. Especially in films like "The Philadelphia Story" and "Bringing Up Baby." And...she sang in a couple of her films too, in "Bring Up Baby," she sang "I Can't Give You Anything But Love, Baby," with Cary Grant. Hepburn is truly one of America's greatest treasures.

Spencer Tracy

Voted by the AFI as the best actor of the last century. Tracy's best films are any films that he made quite frankly, although in my mind the comedies stand out, especially those with Katharine Hepburn "Desk Set" and "Pat and Mike," as well as comedies like "Father of the Bride."

Errol Flynn

Born in Australia, famous for his roles opposite Olivia de Havilland, such as "Captain Blood" and "The Adventures of Robin Hood." Always the hero, remembered for his charm and grace as a swashbuckler on the screen.

Olivia de Havilland

Born in Japan of British roots, de Havilland nominated for four academy awards for her roles in "Gone With The Wind,"Hold Back The Dawn," "The Snake Pit" and "The Heiress." She won and oscar for "To Each His Own." Famous for her films with Eroll Fynn as well.

Kathryn Grayson

Kathryn Grayson is one of the greatest, yet unknown, musical stars of the 1940's and 1950's. She made two films with Mario Lanza, "That Midnight Kiss" and "The Toast of New Orleans." M-G-M tried to use the two as a "new" Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy, but they never quite gained the same popularity as their predecessors. Kathryn is probably best known for her role as Lili Vanessi in the 1953 musical Kiss Me Kate, opposite Howard Keel.

Mario Lanza

Owner of one of the most magnificent voices of the 20th Century. Lanza was signed to an MGM contract to do "That Midnight Kiss" with Kathryn Grayson and the rest is history. Lanza was frequently compared to Caruso and later took on the role in "The Great Caruso."
