Well, I'm quite devistated by my old message board service, it seems that they closed earlier than they said they were going to and therefore I was not able to transfer all the old posts to the new message boards. Oh well, I guess we must start from scratch again. At least I was able to change a couple of them over, it's the Nelson Eddy message board that I really want to salvage!
Hope you had a very merry Holiday season! I got a few more pictures for Christmas that I need to post and a magazine full of wonderful shots as well.
Again, I know I've said this numerous times, but if there's anything you would like to submit to this site, please do so -- I'll usually accept anything! :o)

My goodness, it's been a while since I updated the updates page! As you can see, I completely changed the home page to accomadate the new "ReelJewels" - please do tell me what you think! I also just added a new flash movie for the same reason. Anything else? Lots I guess, I added lyrics for Nelson Eddy, will shortly for Judy Garland. Updated some of the quotes pages, still looking for more quotes if anyone has gotten any.
And forget the message below. I've got enough picture of John Payne, now I'm desperately search for Jack Haley pictures. So, please, if anyone reading this has any pictures of Jack Haley and is willing to scan and send them to me, reach me at ginnysayre@gmail.com.
Also, since the poll for the last 'ReelJewels' is over, and I got hooked into starting three new sites, I started another poll that will end on January 6, 2002. Hopefully I'll have the other sites done by then, at least I'd hope so! So, you gotta get out and vote! Thanks to everyone who voted in the last poll!
And I also keep forgetting to mention that 'ReelJewels.com' was recognized by About.com! Thanks! I'm sure there are more updated here and there. Guess you are just going to have to look about the site ;)

After all this time I finally put up a songs page for Eleanor Powell, since she was dubbed in all her films, I figured nothing would be better than to hear her feet sing, so that's just what I did at the advice of a friend. I also added a songs page for George Murphy, which includes taps as well as songs. If anyone has any pictures of George Murphy, Jack Haley, and John Payne they'd be willing to scan for me, I would certainly appreciate it. I do have some of Murphy and Haley, but I'm lacking on Payne. Thanks!!

It's been ONE year since I started this site, I can hardly believe it myself. In honor of that and as a result of ReelJewels.com's first anniversary, I added one ReelJewel today, which is George Murphy. Within the next month or two, sites for Jack Haley and John Payne will be up and running as well. I also added lots and LOTS of pictures (particularly to Nelson, Judy, and Jeanette) since my last update and changed the greeting cards format, and made things more accessible and more informative over all. I will continue to update this site as time permits, if you're reading this and you think of something you might like to see here, don't hesitate just ask!

A few days ago, I set up a page in honor of the victims and those they love of the terrorism that hit the US. Please donate to the Red Cross and other organizations to keep American strong. I also fixed a mistake in my Eleanor Powell biography due to a quick eye! Thanks so much to one that found it! She knows who she is!! I've added links on some photo galleries to the help page. I will be working hard to add more content during the next few days, keeps me going and away from the startling images from New York and Washington, DC. Take care everyone!

I personally felt I needed to recognize the tragedy that happened in the United States on September 11, 2001, so I placed a note of the front page dedicated to those whom were injured or killed as targeted. Even though, I strongly believe Americans should NOT feel they need to avenge the losses with more civilian lives. The message will be up for a day in mourning and will be finally taken down and hopefully ReelJewels.com will be a place to "forget your troubles come on get happy" once again!!

Added trailers and a film clip from "Lady Be Good" to Eleanor Powell's filmography and added a Judy Garland Screensaver as well. Did a lot of little things as well...nothing really major other than the two I've already mentioned. Look for buddy icons in the Don Ameche, Rosemary Clooney, and Shirley Jones sites. I'm sure I left out a few things, so check around and keep looking for updates.

I did add buddy icons to most of the "ReelJewels" pages as they seem to be pretty popular and due to that popularity, I'm in the process of making a section for icons on the "honorary reeljewels" page. And be on the lookout for Video clips!!! I put a whole bunch on the "Honorary Reeljewels" sites, as well as the "ReelJewels" sites (for the Reeljewels, they're located on the filmography pages). Tons of Judy, lots of Nelson and Jeanette, June Allyson, Dick Powell, nearly everyone right now except Rosemary Clooney, Shirley Jones, and Irene Dunne. All of the film clips that were added are directed towards 56k modems (the average modem speed) and faster -- see how kind I was this time? I'm a spoiled cable subscriber :o) Still VOTE if you haven't yet!! There are many changes since my last update. Keep looking for changes at the Honorary ReelJewels section. There are always updates made and LOTS of media to look at. Vote for the star you would like to see next on this website by clicking on the banner under the last update. Might add a section for AIM buddy icons, I already have some for Alice Faye that are not linked to the main site, but if you are interested, click here. Judy Garland will probably be next, as I know there is a demand by the huge number of young Garland fans emerging. Still have not got around to the "Hollywood" section yet, but I will. If anyone has anything from trips to Hollywood or similar kind of photographs (e.g. Pictures of Judy Garland's Birthplace), that would be wonderful to post as well. For those of you who DO like to share pictures -- thank you so much! Not one of you wants to be named, but I just want others to know that there are some people who have contributed to the growth of this site other than myself. I also updated Nelson Eddy's biography so that the pictures would come up, apparently I never uploaded the fixed page (probably when my server was down off and on for a couple weeks). Thanks again for your continued support and do come back often to check for updates!

Alright, there are so many updates to the website since I last updated this page that there is no way that I can list them all. I would like to say that I have made LOTS of changes to the Honorary ReelJewels section. Along with more stars, I have added many many video/audio clips for your enjoyment (although not all the stars have descriptions and complete listings of clips yet). I will soon be adding some radio shows, trailers, and clips to the "ReelJewels." I have also obtained more photographs to add to the sites and will be doing so soon as well, along with a new "Hollywood" section with pictures from my last trip there. I obviously decided to cary on the vote for the next "ReelJewel" as well, as of right now I only have 21 votes! If you're reading this and haven't voted yet, please vote below!

There again have been many changes to this website during the past month. I added an option of flash for the homepage, fixed SOME errors in the biographies, this is ongoing -- as long as this website is up there is always room for refinement. Added many "Honorary ReelJewels," although again this page is still very much under contruction. I also started a list for those who enjoy this website and would like to be updated by e-mail. I made it a public forum open to your imput, so if you want to have an impact on this website, just submit your address in the form below. I will also be adding club (Internet and official) information soon.
Seems there are a few of you out there that really enjoy my website, so I created this list to keep you up to date about the changes made and a chance to respond, go here to subscribe.
Also to make an imput, vote for the NEXT REELJEWEL! Vote will only be on for two more weeks! Only four votes so far! -- Take this as a chance to really make an impact on this website! I wish to know what my vistors would like to see!

Finally put up Dick Powell Biography! I also changed the "Honorary ReelJewels" page which is very much under construction right now, but hopefully will be complete soon. Keep looking for changes. Updated many things during the past few days, including the home page. Added more songs to greeting cards, fixed some errors. I am fully aware that some of the biographies have gramatical errors among other imperfections, this was due to my haste and hopefully I'll go through it all and fix it up within this week. Another thing to note, there is now a site map to easy access to all pages and a Frequently Asked Questions section. Within the Frequently Asked Questions section and below, there is a place to donate money towards the expansion of this site if you wish. Thank you so much in advance if you do contribute. Everything goes towards new software to make this site more interesting for you. ALSO, I am adding a new "ReelJewel" -- Don Ameche, his site will soon be complete and running, maybe even by the end of the week, we shall see. Along with everything else I've been doing, I think I am going to hold a vote for the next "ReelJewel" from the "Honorary Reeljewels" that are musical stars.

Added quotes submitted to me yesterday to Nelson Eddy, Irene Dunne, and Jeanette MacDonald quote pages. Thanks to the submitee! It really cuts down my work and adds variation. I think I will create a site map, as the site is getting bigger as we go on and I feel it may be useful. Also will be uploading more sheet music to Jeanette MacDonald's Odds and Ends page. Keep looking for new updates, I often forget I changed or added something, especially the Odds and Ends pages right now -- and again, if you have a scanner and have something that fits one of the Odds and Ends categories or collectibles in general, I'd love to add a scan of it to my Odds and Ends page! Happy Easter! -- I know it's fairly early yet. I updated all the guest book links (I hope), please do tell me if you find a Guest book link that leads to Mycomputer.com. Please check out the links page at the top of this page to see links that have helped me a lot in creating this webpage. I don't know what I would do without these sites and the people behind them for their support and help. If you would like to link to this page or have your link on any of my sites, feel free to link as long as your page relates to the content of this website and I will add your link if the site is again related to mine as long as you e-mail me with your link and a little discription. I have created a banner you can use if you wish, the code and art work are on the links page.
Other things I have considered adding to this site are a store for the "honorary reeljewels." Mainly listing a couple of products that highlight the career of each individual. I have started a page for collecting memorabilia and other odds and ends for each star. If you happen to have any lobby cards, sheet music, books (rare), fan art, magazine covers, programs, dolls...anything you can scan or take a picture of that would help me out a lot. Anything else? Still open to any ideas! Seems like I have lots of time monday and wednesday mornings to work on this website, as of right now anyway.

Added songs to Irene Dunne song page! Finally! More will probably come later. Also changed the guest book due to the fact that MyComputer.com is charging now for their services. There are still three sites that do not have the updated link. I will soon be adding a collectibles/miscellaneous category to each site. This will contain information on what is out there to collect, the best way to go about it, and other items of interest. If you have anything you wouldn't mind submitting a scan of, please do! Soon, I'll probably be adding more "honorary reeljewels" as well. When I find even more time, I'll probably have a vote on which "honorary reeljewel" should become an official "reeljewel." I think I may proclaim Don Ameche a "reeljewel" myself...

Thinking about adding a page for a virtual Nelson and Jeanette Fan Club in which people who don't mind posting their e-mail addresses, name, and interests can communicate. This would include set chat times and maybe a newletter by e-mail. Would anyone like to see this done with other "Reeljewels" as well? My goal is to preserve the memory of these stars and in doing so to connect people who feel the same way I do about their sheer talent. Today I added a nice tribute to "reeljewels" that I love, but do not have enough time to make tributes to at the point. There are I believe 24 little tributes on one page, which can be found here. I have also added a section on every message board of "e-pals" or "penpals." This section is meant for people who want to talk to other fans who adore their favorite star/stars. Through this website and e-mail list, I have made lots of friends who enjoy the same things I do and I think it is wonderful if you are able to find someone who is similar to you in this respect. I have also been playing with images in different places on the site, you may notice the home page looks different as well and it will soon change again most likely. A few weeks ago I found a site that has some entire films in real audio format at movieflix.com. The small tribute page is currently linked to these films, but none of the true "reeljewels" are.

Updated many of the stores, these help pay for the costs of running this website extremely well, especially in the past month. The profits from the stores are strictly to fund the making of this site. If you have any ideas that would work with the material in this site, I would be glad to hear them. I would love to make this site more multimedia oriented, but I do realize that not everyone would be able to participate. I know there are still a few broken links and those will be fixed soon, I fixed a few of the pictures that did not come up before as well. I know there are more I need to catch. Today I added message boards for each star. Please feel free to ask any question you have or make comments you may have. I have added more pages with movie quotes too, so be on the lookout for those as well, the only people I have not added quote pages for are Shirley Jones and Rosemary Clooney, although others may not be up yet. I tried my best to fix all the broken links and I'll be working on the images soon, so if you see any broken links or images now, please tell me and I'll fix them as soon as possible. One more thing, please visit the stores! I am a college student, paying for hosting and the domain name out of my own pocket and the stores really help support my work on the site. I have added "Hotbar" skins to each star's website, check each star's main page for skins --- all they do is just decorate your explorer window a little and they're just lots of fun to choose from. Also be on the lookout for movie quotes, so far I have quote pages for Ginger Rogers, Irene Dunne, and Nelson Eddy. You may also notice that I have finally made a general link page, so you might want to check that out as well (can be found at the top of this page).

Happy New Year! Ok, 3 days late - but I've been busy updating and putting some finishing touches on this website. I have now added an individual link page to each site and will soon update the general link page. For the sites that are still underconstruction, you now know they are as I have pages telling you so - which not only helps you out a little, but it keeps me on track too. Really, I have to finish the stores, finish up a few more biographies, and a few other ins and outs and I will be done with the basic layout of this website.
